Our Rich History & Bright Future
For over 106 years, the Lake Wimauma Convention Center, nestled along the tranquil shores of Lake Wimauma, has been a beacon of service and fellowship for both the Church of God and the wider community.
Our history dates back to 1913 when this scenic site was chosen as the permanent campgrounds for the Church of God. The inaugural Wimauma Camp Meeting took place in 1914, housed in a humble open-air barn. Over the decades, our commitment to nurturing faith and fostering community has remained unwavering.
In 1985, our current state-of-the-art, fully enclosed, and air-conditioned structure was built, solidifying our position as one of the oldest and largest Church of God Camp Meeting sites in the United States.
